Detection and Mapping of Underground Infrastructures

The Maya company specializes in detection, marking and mapping of all types of infrastructure.

The Maya company is the foremost company in this sector, and to fulfill its work the Maya company makes use of the most innovative equipment with the optimal advanced technology available.

The Maya company team has upwards of 30 years of experience in detection and mapping of underground infrastructures in areas (over)crowded with infrastructure (lines).

The Maya company deals with sale, instruction and guidance for proper and effective use of the equipment acquired for detection of infrastructures.

General infrastructure detection

  • Water carrier pipes
  • Sewage and effluents carrier systems
  •  Manhole(s) revelation
  • Communication Lines
  • Optical Fiber (inclusive of a Metal fiber)
  • Electrical Cable (Lines)
  • Supply Cables
  • Carrier supply cables

Operational plan

  • Inspection prior to dig to minimize possible damages to existing underground infrastructures.
  • Detection and marking all underground infrastructures in the designated area.
  • Integrated mapping of all the underground infrastructure systems, and preparation of maps of As Is.
  • Marking of the ground surface in color, alternatively tagging above ground of infrastructures found.
  • Detection of metal based infrastructures, and non-metal based open infrastructures.
  • Depth Surveys including absolute depth.
  • Opening of Sewage Manholes ( Drainage ditches )
  • Detection of cables and video recording of internal.
  • Ground Penetrating radar detection for unconventional cases of detection required.
  • Uncovering of underground infrastructures refraining from damages with the use of special earth pump
  • The Equipment used to detect infrastructures include Electromagnetic systems of the most leading edge in the world, including the hidden object specialized equipment from Sewerin.

Underground Surveys using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Tunnels and Cisterns are hidden under the surface as well as metal tubes for infrastructures that make it impossible to actually dig underneath the surface with regular detectors or transmitters, therefore the detection is conducted with a radar system of ground penetrating radar (GPR).

This specialized instrument allows for the completion of the full picture of the detection and mapping of underground infrastructures.

Applications of (GRP) Ground Penetrating Radar

  • Identification of  Nonmetal tubes, Asbestos, Concrete and PVC
  • Detection of Open underground spaces ( Tunnel and Cisterns)
  • Detection of Concrete Beams in Buildings
  • Detection and survey of Pal-Kal Roofs
